Temper rises in Akwa Ibom as expelled APC lawmakers plot to impeach gov’

The five lawmakers loyal to the All Progressives Congress, APC were planning to impeach Gov. Udom Emmanuel before the sitting was disrupted.

The five lawmakers loyal to the All Progressives Congress, APC were planning to impeach Gov. Udom Emmanuel before the sitting was disrupted.

The five sacked lawmakers had earlier this morning taken over the main chambers of the house.

It would be recalled that earlier today, when the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel arrived the State House of Assembly, there was a rowdy session of youths heralding his visit.

And the embattled factional speaker Nse Ntuen who had earlier sat with the four other sacked lawmakers were harassed by security personnel in front of the Assembly.
