Several presidential aspirants of the Poeples’ Democratic Party, PDP have reporetedly kicked against the decision of the party to reduce the number of the aspirants or choose a consensus candidate.
This is coming after the party’s Board Of Trustees, BOT meeting on 9th of september set up a committee to liase with all the presidential aspirants to discuss the possibility of having a consensus candidate.
However some the party’s presidential aspirants, ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar inclusive, Senate president Bukola Saraki, and a former governor of Kano state Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Monday disagreed with the party’s call for a consensus candidate. At separate fora on Monday, the three of them expressed readiness to go for the primary and test their popularity among the members.
