It was a gathering of political who is who at the Nsit Ubium council secretariat where all the former political office holders across the ten words of Nsit Ubium converged at the instance of the party leadership to chat the way forward towards the re-election bid of Gov Udom Emmanuel and all the PDP candidates.
In his address, the executive chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area Hon. Udemeobong Sylvanus Bassey reiterate the readiness of the local government to return the governor and all the party candidates in the forthcoming elections and describe the governor as a man of tremendous quality that values service to a cause especially those that supported, stood and are still standing with the party since it’s inception, stressing that all former officers of the party from the ward to the state level will be duly rewarded.
The speaking speaker in his address thank the former party stalwarts for remaining faithful to the party and urged them not to be dismay, but to remain focus, steadfast and to remain loyal to the party assuring them that PDP will take back power at the center and charge members of the party not to panic in the ongoing politically motivated intimidation of the party officials by the police assuring them that nobody can use the office of President Muhammadu Buhari to intimidate him or any member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, in the ongoing preparations for the 2019 general elections.
Other speakers who addressed the audience include Senator Effiong Bob who was represented by Barr Bob Otobong, Arch Ime Ekpo Hon. Commissioner for Lands, Survey. Chris Ek po former chairman of Nsit Ubium, Hon. Otobong Edemidiong the immediate past transition committee chairman of the Area, Mr Victor Brown board member Aks waste management board, PDP chapter chairman Elder Aniefiok Johnny, and a host of other speakers.
High point of the event was the endorsement of Gov. Udom Emmanuel and all the party candidates in the forthcoming elections.
