The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has received the seventy five million naira (N75m) promised the Super Falcons by Dangote Group owner, Aliko Dangote and BUA Group CEO, Abdul Samad.

NFF announced the receipt of the cheque on Saturday during a ceremony to celebrate its corporate sponsors for their support to football over the years in Lagos.

It will be recalled that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad had promised to give the Super Falcons fifty and twenty-five million naira respectively following their ninth African Women Nations Cup triumph in Ghana.

The NFF said in a statement yesterday that, “the highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the sum of N50 million to the Super Falcons by Dangote Group, immediately followed by the presentation of the sum of N25 million to the team by BUA Group.”
